Black Friday...it's go time!!!

Ohhhhhh Black Friday....either you love or hate it.
Me??? I have always had a lovely obsession with it!!

But you see for me it has always been a grand night/day. My sister and I would eat Thanksgiving dinner and then go home and through on Santa hats. Running on no sleep and upscene amounts of coffee we would venture. We would always hit the outlet mall first (opening at 10pm and then others at midnight) from there we would hit up everywhere else depending on the scedule for that year. Usually Walmart, Kohls, Target and then the mall. Man it was great... We are pros (but very nice about it) not like those mean big ladies who push eveyone aside and make you wanna cry. We could take her...we're that good!! We get what we want and yet make friends! It's awesome!!
That brings us to this year...working retail of course your sceduled Black Friday. This year I had 2 retail jobs. Equaling a total of 19 hours of work, nonstop. Not gonna lie it was brutal. By my last hour or so at Coach I was hallucenating. 3:30am-10:30pm isn't the best day especially with ca-razzzy people. But I did it in the name of Christmas...no Grinch here :)
After Thanksgiving I had every intention of going home and napping a few hours before I opened. But then I started seeing the Black Friday ads...and the commercials!! That was it! I would go from 10pm until about 2am or so. I had to get some good deals!! And I did!! So worth it. Mindy, Jason and I hit up Walmart to get some DVD'S (I stocked up) and Jason found the TV he'd been wanting. It was a success.
After the joy and the crowds of Walmart we hit up Old Navy and I got to visit all of my friends (I used to work there for 3 years). It was so good to see the crew again!
All and all this year wasn't how I would've hoped. But it was still so special :) And let me tell ya. One I will never forget!
would you wanna mess with this???

this was only a small aisle at Walmart...

Gabby!!!! Love this girl :)

So happy about the TV...haha

Gobble Gobble...

Finally I get to post about Thanksgiving!!! I wanted to post my "what I'm thankful for" list on Thanksgiving...buuut that day got rather hectic. And everyday after that was even more hectic....crazy busy I tell ya. So tonight I will share my lovely Thanksgivinh with you all :)

I started out Thanksgiving a night early with my girls :)) We had the crew back together. Caroline was home from Iowa and Naomi was home from Colombia. Let me tell ya when we all get together we laugh harder then a hyena on laughy gas. I swear we'll laugh at anything and I love it. In fact that is one thing I am truly thankful for...my friends. Who make me laugh so hard but yet are always, always, always there for me when I feel down. They show me love and compassion. God put them in my life for a reason. That Wednesday we made a pecan pie...quite yummy!! Also watched about every one of  "The Lonely Island" videos. Dirty?? A bit...funny??? Yessss so funny hhaa!! I love me some Andy Samberg, what a babe. Other then that we just did what we do best, have fun. It was a late night (early morning) with some amazing friends and I couldn't
think of a better way to ring in Thanksgiving then with those lovely ladies! I cannot wait until we are all together again...but that is gonna be quite some time.

Now time for Thanksgiving day with the family. I made my pumpkin fluff (so easy to make all you need is whipped cream and pumpkin pie mix, and stir) and it was soooo yummy! Then again I just love anything pumpkin....yummm pumpkin. We all went over to Grandma and Grandpas house for the feast. Yes I'll admit it is a tricky task being a vegetarian on Thanksgiving. Trying to find food with anything non-meat or gelatin related. Needless to say my plate looked pretty white. Filled with potatoes, butter buns, and cranberries (oh there's my color!) But that to me is quite tasty. Mann now I am hungry again. Needless to say I was filled to the gills..until pie time. There is always room for pie!! After pie we went to Dads's house...more food...and more pie. But hey it's on Thanksgiving once a year. I'm allowed to stuff my face. All of that food tired me out so I took a wonderful nap by the fireplace for about a half hour. That's about all the sleep I got for the next day or so. Black Friday I worked about 19 hours straight...yea. But I'll do a seperate post for Black Friday.

All and all this Thanksgiving was relaxing and much needed. Thanksgiving always hold a special place in my heart.

I am thankful for everything good in my life. I could make a list of over 100 but when it comes down to it everyday there is something new I am thankful for.

Hope all of your Thanksgivings went splendidly :)

....Now bring on Christmas....yayyayayyayayyyyy...!!!!!

see the heart??

The world is your runway...

Last week I was lucky enough to be one of the models for Atomic Katz. I've been modeling for them for about 2 or so years now. I mean how fun is it that I get to wear amazing vintage clothes and ham it up on the runway!! Lucky..I am so lucky haha. It was a total blast...but a bit weird because every fashion show my friend Naomi models as well. But she's currently in Colombia so she couldn't be there. It was definitely sad not having her there. But she was there in spirit and I still had a blast! And hello do you see what they did to my hair!!! Love love love!! I seriously wish my hair looked like this everyday...sigh. It reminded me of Dolly Parton (always a good thing). So here's a look, we were so rushed I didn't get a bunch of pictures. My favorite is the purple dress! :)

Rainy Days and Manic Mondays

Once again it's Monday. Seriously where is this month going??? Crazy!! It just seems like everything this month has been..go..go...go!!! I just want to relax. Just gotta get through this next week or so (in retail this upcoming week is known as no other then "Black Friday" week...ohhhh boyyy)
Usually it's one of my favorite days of the year! My sister and I through on some Santa Hats and go crazy!
Buuuuuut sadly not this year, this year those memories will be replaced by working both jobs. I open at JcPenney and then close at Coach.
Oh well...I really can't complain it could be so much worse.
I guess I should just be thankful that I have a job...and I am. Times are tough and God has blessed me with 2 jobs. And maybe even a third, I may or may not be taking a nanny job. I'm going to meet the baby girl on Wed. There are pros and cons to this. But what's meant to be will happen.
This week I will be doing my "I'm thankful for" on Thanksgiving...it only seems right :))
Exciting things have been happening! Amazing things...slowly!
Here are some amazing Monday songs for you on the chilly Monday afternoon.
I seriously just want to sit around and listen to The Carpenters and The Beatles all day long...actually today I have off. Maybe I will :p

"Monday Monday, can't trust that day,
Monday Monday, sometimes it just turns out that way
Oh Monday morning, you gave me no warning of what was to be
Oh Monday Monday, how you could leave and not take me."

""What I feel is come and gone before
No need to talk it out
We know what it's all about
Hanging around, nothing to do but frown
Rainy days and Mondays always get me down"

"It's just another Manic Monday
I wish it was Sunday
'cause that's my funday
My I don't have to runday
It's just another Manic Monday"

Oh yes...you may notice my new blog layout. I think it needed some sparkle for the upcoming Holiday season. Next thing I'll be bringing the Christmas music to my little bloggy...woot woot!!

If the sky was made up of water colors...

The other day a few friends and I ventured to Madison (nothin like being the only girl stuck in a car full of boys).
And on the way there I saw the most beautiful sunset.
It looked like it was made from water colors.
So simple, so beautiful.
The pictures are from the car so their not the greatest.
But face to face with that sunset it was b-e-a-utiful :)

Every mile a memory...

Hello! Hello!!!

Tonight I thought I'd share some photos from a day trip to my aunts shop in Poysippi.
Believe it or not a day last week my mom, sister and I all had a day that worked for us to go and do something!!...yaaaay!!...this like never happens!
The weather was lovely, a bit chilly but hey it's November.
We had a beautiful drive there looking at all of the amazing scenery on the country roads.
Barns and leaves for miles to see. That's my kind of drive!!
Finally we get there and it's just as I remember it. You see I basically grew up in this shop. And yet years later the smell has managed to stay the exact same. One of the most amazing memorable smells ever...I wish you could smell it I really do!!
Anywhooo we got there and took it all in. Mindy and I spent a great deal of time in the room with tons of vintage wonders. We had luck!! She found a vintage birdcage topper that she's going to use as an earring holder in the upcoming craft fair this weekend. She also found a 3 tier wheelable table that she's also going to use. I found the coolest mini Samsonite luggage (I will take a picture...promise!!). But I've decided to deck the inside out with some bright retro fabric and use it as a hair and makeup case for fashion shows and photoshoots. I acutally used it tonight for my fashion show and LOVED it!! It is so beautiful, I am glad I found it!! I was hunting for one for ages. Little did I know I'd find one at my aunts shop..but man am I happy I did.
We came at the perfect time she just decked out the store for Christmas. So needless to say I was a happy camper. Heehee.

Like I said this store holds an insane amount of memories for me. When I was a little girl I'd come up here with my Grandma and spend the day with my cousin Abby (as pictured above^^) we would play with our dolls for hours. I remember having sleepovers in their house (which is right above the store) and watching Clueless all night!
One time Abby and I were playing with our Lee Middleton dolls outside the store, we were probably like 10 and the newspaper pulled over and asked us for our picture...ummm hello how cool is that!?
It turns out he thought they were real babies...hhaaha. They were crazy lifelike though. But that was awesome business to my aunt who sold those dolls. Long story short we made the front page of the newspaper with those dolls and our matching outfits...I seriously have to find that photo!
Nothing but great memories :))

Here's an oldie....glad we grew into our looks :p

If you ever find yourself in Posippi WI stop on in!!! You will find good company and so many things that you will just adore!!
