This is what Christmas means to me...

Sorry it's been a while. I've been pretty busy with the whole Christmas thing. And then working like crazy to deal with returns.

Here's a look into my Christmas this year...

Christmas Eve I worked until 2 and then went home to get ready for church. I have to admit that church is my favorite part of Christmas. You truly feel the warmth and love in the church. Everyone stuffed in like sardines...but I love it!! It means everyone is there to show their love for Jesus! This year we went to the 4 o' clock mass and got there about 3:30. Almost every pew was filled shoulder to shoulder with people. But yet we were lucky enough to find a seat. After us people kept piling in we had to put people in the balcony and along the sides. Next year we will have to get there at 3 haha. But I rather have it packed then empty. After mass we headed over to our house and opened presents with our Grandparents and then played some board games. Grandma and Grandpa made it until 11...shocked me they are usually to bed by 8 lol. There has always been something extra magical about Christmas Eve night...I love it!!!

Christmas Day we slept in...much needed!! And then Mindy and Jason came over. We watched Christmas movies until it was time to go to my uncles. We went over there and played some more games and ate some yum yum yummy food...and filled up on cookies. After that we headed over to my Dads house to open presents...and watch The Packer Game (they won). As they watched I napped...I had to be at work at 6am the next morning..I needed a nap. My favorite place to nap at Dads is right in front of the fire place...ohhh I love snuggling up all cozy and warm!! Oh yea did I mention we almost hit the house on fire. Haha. Luckily the flames were tamed and now we can look back and laugh.

So there you have it...a Christmas with the Wara's :)

I hope yours was everything and more you wanted it to be.

Now for a new year...

Mindys made us these skirts :)

bahahahaha

I had some company on my nap...

Happy Birthdayyy Dad!!!

Yesterday was my dad's birthday.
As we get older I still like to think of us all as young chickens.
In honor of his birthday we went out dancing (disco) at a dance club in Menasha.
We had a good group if I do say so myself.
When I see aunts, uncles and my dad dancing I think..."ohhhh that's where I get it from"
Haha definitely on my dad's side of the family.
We've got the moves like Jagger :p
Here's an inside look in dad's birthday.
I love you Dad :)

Gobble Gobble...

Finally I get to post about Thanksgiving!!! I wanted to post my "what I'm thankful for" list on Thanksgiving...buuut that day got rather hectic. And everyday after that was even more hectic....crazy busy I tell ya. So tonight I will share my lovely Thanksgivinh with you all :)

I started out Thanksgiving a night early with my girls :)) We had the crew back together. Caroline was home from Iowa and Naomi was home from Colombia. Let me tell ya when we all get together we laugh harder then a hyena on laughy gas. I swear we'll laugh at anything and I love it. In fact that is one thing I am truly thankful for...my friends. Who make me laugh so hard but yet are always, always, always there for me when I feel down. They show me love and compassion. God put them in my life for a reason. That Wednesday we made a pecan pie...quite yummy!! Also watched about every one of  "The Lonely Island" videos. Dirty?? A bit...funny??? Yessss so funny hhaa!! I love me some Andy Samberg, what a babe. Other then that we just did what we do best, have fun. It was a late night (early morning) with some amazing friends and I couldn't
think of a better way to ring in Thanksgiving then with those lovely ladies! I cannot wait until we are all together again...but that is gonna be quite some time.

Now time for Thanksgiving day with the family. I made my pumpkin fluff (so easy to make all you need is whipped cream and pumpkin pie mix, and stir) and it was soooo yummy! Then again I just love anything pumpkin....yummm pumpkin. We all went over to Grandma and Grandpas house for the feast. Yes I'll admit it is a tricky task being a vegetarian on Thanksgiving. Trying to find food with anything non-meat or gelatin related. Needless to say my plate looked pretty white. Filled with potatoes, butter buns, and cranberries (oh there's my color!) But that to me is quite tasty. Mann now I am hungry again. Needless to say I was filled to the gills..until pie time. There is always room for pie!! After pie we went to Dads's house...more food...and more pie. But hey it's on Thanksgiving once a year. I'm allowed to stuff my face. All of that food tired me out so I took a wonderful nap by the fireplace for about a half hour. That's about all the sleep I got for the next day or so. Black Friday I worked about 19 hours straight...yea. But I'll do a seperate post for Black Friday.

All and all this Thanksgiving was relaxing and much needed. Thanksgiving always hold a special place in my heart.

I am thankful for everything good in my life. I could make a list of over 100 but when it comes down to it everyday there is something new I am thankful for.

Hope all of your Thanksgivings went splendidly :)

....Now bring on Christmas....yayyayayyayayyyyy...!!!!!

see the heart??

Lemon mush...oh my

It was my moms birthday a few days ago!! Needless to say I needed to bake her something truly yummy...her favorite is lemon. So I decided to make her a giant lemon cupcake, well that was the plan. This time I decided to go with 2 cake mixes vs the 1 I used last time. Maybe I should have used one... it still tasted really yummy. I filled it with lemon mousse. But as you can see, it didn't turn out the best :( But like they say "don't judge a book by it's cover, don't judge a cake by it's exterior" haha.

All and all the birthday turned out well :) Except for the fact that I was really sick...eww.

I truly have an amazing mom...I love her so very much!!

sisters.

"A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost"

"If you don't understand how a woman could both love her sister dearly and want to wring her neck at the same time, then you were probably an only child"

"Having a sister is like having a best friend you can't get rid of.
You know whatever you do, they'll still be there"

"It was nice growing up with someone like you-
someone to lean on, someone to count on...
someone to tell on!"

"It's hard to be responsible, adult and sensible all the time.
How good it is to have a sister whose heart is as young as your own"

I am so blessed to have the sister that I have. She is just as weird as I am and understands exactly where I'm coming from. I love her more than a fat kid loves cake...and that's a LOT!!
