Gobble Gobble...

Finally I get to post about Thanksgiving!!! I wanted to post my "what I'm thankful for" list on Thanksgiving...buuut that day got rather hectic. And everyday after that was even more hectic....crazy busy I tell ya. So tonight I will share my lovely Thanksgivinh with you all :)

I started out Thanksgiving a night early with my girls :)) We had the crew back together. Caroline was home from Iowa and Naomi was home from Colombia. Let me tell ya when we all get together we laugh harder then a hyena on laughy gas. I swear we'll laugh at anything and I love it. In fact that is one thing I am truly thankful for...my friends. Who make me laugh so hard but yet are always, always, always there for me when I feel down. They show me love and compassion. God put them in my life for a reason. That Wednesday we made a pecan pie...quite yummy!! Also watched about every one of  "The Lonely Island" videos. Dirty?? A bit...funny??? Yessss so funny hhaa!! I love me some Andy Samberg, what a babe. Other then that we just did what we do best, have fun. It was a late night (early morning) with some amazing friends and I couldn't

think of a better way to ring in Thanksgiving then with those lovely ladies! I cannot wait until we are all together again...but that is gonna be quite some time.

Now time for Thanksgiving day with the family. I made my pumpkin fluff (so easy to make all you need is whipped cream and pumpkin pie mix, and stir) and it was soooo yummy! Then again I just love anything pumpkin....yummm pumpkin. We all went over to Grandma and Grandpas house for the feast. Yes I'll admit it is a tricky task being a vegetarian on Thanksgiving. Trying to find food with anything non-meat or gelatin related. Needless to say my plate looked pretty white. Filled with potatoes, butter buns, and cranberries (oh there's my color!) But that to me is quite tasty. Mann now I am hungry again. Needless to say I was filled to the gills..until pie time. There is always room for pie!! After pie we went to Dads's house...more food...and more pie. But hey it's on Thanksgiving once a year. I'm allowed to stuff my face. All of that food tired me out so I took a wonderful nap by the fireplace for about a half hour. That's about all the sleep I got for the next day or so. Black Friday I worked about 19 hours straight...yea. But I'll do a seperate post for Black Friday.

All and all this Thanksgiving was relaxing and much needed. Thanksgiving always hold a special place in my heart.

I am thankful for everything good in my life. I could make a list of over 100 but when it comes down to it everyday there is something new I am thankful for.

Rainy Days and Manic Mondays

Once again it's Monday. Seriously where is this month going??? Crazy!! It just seems like everything this month has been..go..go...go!!! I just want to relax. Just gotta get through this next week or so (in retail this upcoming week is known as no other then "Black Friday" week...ohhhh boyyy)

Usually it's one of my favorite days of the year! My sister and I through on some Santa Hats and go crazy!

Buuuuuut sadly not this year, this year those memories will be replaced by working both jobs. I open at JcPenney and then close at Coach.

Oh well...I really can't complain it could be so much worse.

I guess I should just be thankful that I have a job...and I am. Times are tough and God has blessed me with 2 jobs. And maybe even a third, I may or may not be taking a nanny job. I'm going to meet the baby girl on Wed. There are pros and cons to this. But what's meant to be will happen.

This week I will be doing my "I'm thankful for" on Thanksgiving...it only seems right :))

Oh yes...you may notice my new blog layout. I think it needed some sparkle for the upcoming Holiday season. Next thing I'll be bringing the Christmas music to my little bloggy...woot woot!!

I'm thankful for Sundays

This is pretty much my Sunday...lounging around.

It's so cold and rainy outside. Therefore I can justify being a bum today and cuddling up in warm furry blankets with some hot coco. <3

...until my work meetin tonight anyway.

Once again I count my blessings today.

This week I am thankful for:

1. The open road-When I'm feeling trapped I find it so inspiring to go out on a country road. Even if I don't have a destination. It's relaxing and wonderful and really makes me think. Such beauty and such simplicity. Love.

2. My health-Enough said.

3. Photography-Everything about photography is just awesome!!! When I'm standing behind my camera I see a vision of how I want a picture to turn out. And when properly done I can't help but get excited!! I'm making memories and doing something I love. Awesome.
4. Music-When I'm feeling sad, mad, happy, inspired, pretty much any emotion...I can always find a song to fit my mood!! I just love all music. If it paints a picture in my mind...or makes me wanna dance-it is a-ok :)
5. My new red moccasins- They are beaaaautiful!! It truly was love at first sight. I'll put up a pic later. But may I just say they keep my feet quite toasty and they are red!!!!
6. Sunshine-I love the sun! But lately it's been so dreary it makes me oh so sleeeeepy. :(

I am thankful for...

I have always loved the idea of "Being Thankful" and everything along those lines. Thanksgiving is a perfect day to do it. But why only leave it to one day?? I mean I am so thankful everyday of my life!! Sometimes for major things and sometimes for the smallest things. But needless to say, so thankful! I saw the idea of weekly "what I'm thankful for" throughout November on Perfect in my minds blog. I loved the idea!!! So here is what I am thankful for this week.

1. My Grandma and Grandpa: Truly the most amazing Grandparents...and people ever. They do so much for me it's just insane. Last week I helped them rake leaves and after my Grandma made sure to stuff my face. They have always been there for me through everything growing up. They came to my concerts, helped me grow in my religion, Grandma taught me to drive. I love them more than any words could ever write. They are my second pair of parents and I am so thankful to have them in my life.

2. Mittens: It's been getting chilly and my mittens have done a mighty fine job at warming me up lately.


3. My Faith: Jesus never let's me down. I know when everything around me may feel like it's falling apart, I know that I am loved. I am filled with a sense of peace and love. My Faith is constantly growing and it is such a beautiful thing.


3. The comfy, cozy, pink, cupcake pajama bottoms that my friend Sue surprised me with. She saw them and thought of me :) They are some awesomely warm fuzzy pants and I heart them!

4. Christmas Music...yes it may be a tad early.. but I don't care!! I LOVE CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!


5. Nashville: I know I talk about it all the time. But so thankful for it, it's one of the only places I actually feel like I'm at home when I'm there. There is always music and good food. When am I going back?!?!?

6. The fact that I don't need to be drunk all the time to have fun. I've always been a naturally fun person. I'm alright with making a fool of myself sober. We only live once!! So live it up...it's just nice not having to get drunk to have so much fun. Call me crazy for not loving hangovers or doing stupid things I'll most likely forget or regret.

7. Blogging: I love that I have an outlet to just write whatever I want. Or fill up space with massive amounts of pictures.

8. Shopping: I don't care where I'm shopping or what I'm shopping for. I just love it. I could seriously spend hours in 1 store. That is probably why I work retail. I love it all!! The sales, the people, the decorations and lights...I think I need to go shopping. It's like she says in "Confessions of a shopaholic"

The list could go on and on but here is what I am most thankful for this week. Now I will probably think of like 20 more throughout the day :)
