This is what Christmas means to me...

Sorry it's been a while. I've been pretty busy with the whole Christmas thing. And then working like crazy to deal with returns.

Here's a look into my Christmas this year...

Christmas Eve I worked until 2 and then went home to get ready for church. I have to admit that church is my favorite part of Christmas. You truly feel the warmth and love in the church. Everyone stuffed in like sardines...but I love it!! It means everyone is there to show their love for Jesus! This year we went to the 4 o' clock mass and got there about 3:30. Almost every pew was filled shoulder to shoulder with people. But yet we were lucky enough to find a seat. After us people kept piling in we had to put people in the balcony and along the sides. Next year we will have to get there at 3 haha. But I rather have it packed then empty. After mass we headed over to our house and opened presents with our Grandparents and then played some board games. Grandma and Grandpa made it until 11...shocked me they are usually to bed by 8 lol. There has always been something extra magical about Christmas Eve night...I love it!!!

Christmas Day we slept in...much needed!! And then Mindy and Jason came over. We watched Christmas movies until it was time to go to my uncles. We went over there and played some more games and ate some yum yum yummy food...and filled up on cookies. After that we headed over to my Dads house to open presents...and watch The Packer Game (they won). As they watched I napped...I had to be at work at 6am the next morning..I needed a nap. My favorite place to nap at Dads is right in front of the fire place...ohhh I love snuggling up all cozy and warm!! Oh yea did I mention we almost hit the house on fire. Haha. Luckily the flames were tamed and now we can look back and laugh.

So there you have it...a Christmas with the Wara's :)

I hope yours was everything and more you wanted it to be.

Now for a new year...

Mindys made us these skirts :)

bahahahaha

I had some company on my nap...

Christmastime in the City...

Today was just what I needed.
Mom and I both had the day off so we decorated Christmas cookies, got lunch at Macy's and went shoppng.
Everyone was hustling and bustling in the mall.
But my favorite is seeing all of the little kiddies in their fancy little dresses and pants.
They need to dress up for Santa Claus...of course :))

Here are some shots from today!

New Years IS right around the corner...looooving this dress!

Macy's is always the most magical store...my fav!

Mom matched the manikin haha

I would love love love this coat!

Now it's time to snuggle up and watch "The Holiday" and "Christmas with the Kranks"

"The Holiday" has an AWESOME soundtrack!! Here are some of my favs!

The most wonderful time of the year

This past weekend was spent shopping, wrapping and working.
But I finished all of my Christmas shopping....hip hip hooray!!!
At least I say it's all done until I see something else for someone and think ...."they would LOVE this"
...I'm always guilty of this.
But I love seeing peoples faces when you get them the perfect present.
It makes my day :)

Where are you Christmas??

It's that time of year again...my favorite time of year!!
And overall it's going pretty good...but pretty good isn't great.
I don't get it.
Usually by this time I am off the walls over the top Christmas-aholic.
I'm blasting the music, decorating the tree, and drinking massive amounts of hot chocolate.
Granted I still have plenty of time to get in the spirit, it's just weird.
I want to be that excited again!
But it get's hard when there are so many stressful things on my scedule.
Why can't I be 5 again?
Back then everything was so magical and there was never a let down.
...sigh
I don't mean to sound like the Grinch!
I'm just hoping and praying that I get bit by the Christmas bug soon :)

On a jollier note I really hope your season is looking merry and bright :)

Music...good for the soul

Here are some songs that have been playing nonstop in my head and in my house the last week or so.

Take a listen.

Amen-Edens Edge: I heard this song on the radio and boom addicted!! I listen to it on repeat and still love it! It's just so refreshing comparsed to a lot of newer music.

Basically Florence and the Machines new CD. It is all golden. Listen to it on Spotify!

Poison & Wine-The Civil Wars: Genius!! The harmony alone sends chills up my spine!! Listen and I promise you will love!

Winter Song-Ingrid Michaelson and Sarah Bareilles. Perfectly fitting and perfectly lovely for the first snow today :)

Let it snow-Jessica Simpson. One of my favs and she sings it perfectly!! It is officially Christmas music. all. the. time. <3

What are some of your favorites, new or old???
